Striving to bring a giggle and weirdness to your day, this podcast’s mission is to feature fantastic writers whose wonderful stories deserve to be heard in audio. And it feeds my love of telling funny stories about life, befuddlement, and the odd adventures in life. I have an affinity for the funny in the mundane, always have. I cataloged my weird adventures at the gym into a one-woman show that you can watch on my YouTube channel. It’s entitled Does This Happen to You at the Gym. I got a lot of joy out of that, so I began writing about my adventures. There was no way I could write enough for a weekly podcast, so I began telling funny stories by other writers. And I’m still at it.

I didn't think I'd live through the first 3 months of raising two puppies. But I did and its kind of fun now. I find myself saying things I'd never thought I'd say though.

I long for the days when I could watch a Law & Order marathon for 3 hours straight. Those days are long gone. I'm always rushing around and seems everyone else is too. We passed a driver flossing her teeth while barreling down I-5 the other day. There are other consequences to rushing, I have the scars to prove it. I welcome your comments or tales of too many things squeezed into your day.

Do you have trouble tipping? I'm clueless about tipping, especially anyone beyond the waiter or waitress. Turns out most of us don't tip for better service, according to recent research. Give a listen, you might be suprised why you tip more in some cases.

While waiting at the bus stop recently, I noticed a crow pick up a nice juicy worm, take one bite and then reject the rest. I live in an upscale neighborhood and even the crows are picky. Turns out urban animals do take on our characteristics, as scientists in Russia found out. But who really domesticated who?

I've done lots and lots of job interviews. Every audition is a job interview and I've had several corporate jobs. You'd think my most memorable job interview is an audition but its not. Its a corporate one. Give a listen and send me your memorable job interviews. I'd love to voice them. You can tweet me @kriskkaria.

Have you ever had a conversation about the most mundane topic, like orange tape which somehow goes very awry? My friend, Gwen, reminded me of the nice, but slightly vacant receptionist who worked at the Forest Service lab for awhile. We had to watch what we said in front of her, as it often got misinterpreted.

Sunday Feb 06, 2011
Sunday Feb 06, 2011
The holidays are over and I got the last carton of eggnog weeks ago. I'm out of eggnog and in withdrawal. My coffee is not the same without it. I'm trying a substitute, eggnog in a pouch, we'll see. Turns out they are quite a few foods only available during the holidays. Some I didn't even know about. Take a listen and let me know what foods you love but can't get all year round. You can tweet me, @kriskkaria or find my fan page on Facebook. I'd love to hear from you.
