Striving to bring a giggle and weirdness to your day, this podcast’s mission is to feature fantastic writers whose wonderful stories deserve to be heard in audio. And it feeds my love of telling funny stories about life, befuddlement, and the odd adventures in life. I have an affinity for the funny in the mundane, always have. I cataloged my weird adventures at the gym into a one-woman show that you can watch on my YouTube channel. It’s entitled Does This Happen to You at the Gym. I got a lot of joy out of that, so I began writing about my adventures. There was no way I could write enough for a weekly podcast, so I began telling funny stories by other writers. And I’m still at it.

Sewage Tours
Sunday Jan 23, 2011
Sunday Jan 23, 2011
My reminiscing about working for the Forest Service Lab brought back more memories, not fond ones though. The techs sent me out again for field work in the summer, more water samples. The tech and I met a strange forest ranger who loved sewage treatment plants. I learned lots about sewage treatment which I promptly forgot.

Partridge in a Lighted Gargoyle
Sunday Jan 09, 2011
Sunday Jan 09, 2011
I don't bother with a Christmas tree since there's only two of us. I do want more lights than what my little ceramic tree provides. So, I strung lights on Jack's large gargoyle. Turns out I'm not alone, Americans string lights on all sorts of inanimate objects, not just trees and shrubs. I've got a list, help me add to it, just send me an email.

Its that Time of Year
Sunday Dec 12, 2010
Sunday Dec 12, 2010
Its the time of year all those funny, weird, sometimes not so clean, holiday songs get trotted out by radio stations and UTube and other places on the Internet. I love funny holiday songs but I'm getting a bit tired of "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer". Seems the same old tired stuff gets recycled year after year. I came up with a special Seattle rendition of an old favorite.

My partner, Jack, was in the Navy for about 6 years. Then, he got a better deal from the Army after college, so he spent another 14 years in the Army Reserves. I never tire of hearing some of his Navy stories while his ship docked in various ports in the Pacific.

Exploding Puppy Shit
Sunday Nov 28, 2010
Sunday Nov 28, 2010
The trip to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving included finding room for our two puppies, JJ and Benny. Jack no longer has room to pack the kitchen sink. JJ and Benny are good travelers. My parents have a dog and our friends have 4 dogs so Thanksgiving included lots of dog stories. For some reason, dogs and shit gravitate toward each other, so the stories naturally went that way. Here they are.

I attend a networking meeting for women in business once a month. I met Jan several months ago at a meeting but we never had a chance to talk at length until last Monday. She told me and the rest of the group these two fun stories. I'm sharing them with you today. Jan owns the company, Groovie Impressions, www.groovieimpressions.com and she always brings cool pens.
